Sara Forrest is a visual storyteller who has been working as a photographer for over a decade. She grew up on the Kansas prairie, studied ballet in New York City and earned a degree in human biology. "The science side of my brain is focused, tenacious and technical, where as the movement side is more visual and loose. This combination, paired with a passion for storytelling and exploration, made me feel right at home behind the lens of a camera. I'm always looking to learn about something new or go someplace I've never been. I am always interested in people living and doing things a little different than myself. I find that really inspiring and it ultimately drives my creative process."
Sara's aesthetic has been described by others as vibrant, real and honest. She strives to have people walk away from her work feeling like she has tapped into their own memories and experiences. That connection is very valuable. Working with people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures is something she finds inspiration in every single day.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, traveling, teaching new words to her parrot, Kiko, and collaborating on projects for various non profit organizations.
